Financial Performance & Achievements
Despite challenges in the infrastructure sector, SPML Infra has continued to move forward with resilience and determination. Our focus on operational efficiency, technology-driven innovation, and disciplined execution has helped us deliver steady results.
The last financial year saw a modest decline in revenue due to delays in project awards attributed to general elections and state elections, but we improved in margins and achieved a profit after tax of ₹49 crore. This underscores the strength of our selective bidding, disciplined cost control, and focus on funded, margin-accretive projects, positioning us strongly for sustained profitable growth in the years ahead.
We have secured new project orders in water supply under the Jal Jeevan Mission and AMRUT 2.0 from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and irrigation project in Jharkhand. The new orders worth over ₹3000 crore has strengthened our order book and reaffirming our leadership position in India’s water infrastructure space.
Strategic Expansion into Battery Energy Storage Systems
The most defining development is our entry into Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), a critical enabler of India’s green energy transition. Our move into BESS aligns with national green energy mission to achieve the ambitious target of 500 GW of green energy and 50 GW of it with energy storage system.
We have entered into an exclusive agreement with US-based Energy Vault, a global leader in sustainable energy storage solutions. This partnership marks a significant milestone for us, as it allows us to bring cutting-edge energy storage system and technology to enhance system optimization and grid reliability. We see this as a space where SPML Infra can lead with execution reliability and long-term relevance. We can foresee a healthy and robust revenue stream from this venture.
Recognition & Awards
Our Chairman has been conferred with the prestigious Construction Week Lifetime Achievement Award 2025. This honour is a recognition of SPML’s four-decade-long journey, completing nearly 700 projects that have improved the lives with clean drinking water to over 50 million people across the country. SPML Infra also received The Build India Infra Award 2025 for Water Infrastructure project for reducing non-revenue water significantly using modern technology in Bengaluru.
